SATYATEX
hi guys, after browsing through the detailed trophy walkthrough on the sister site I was thinking abt a method, how to obtain all achievements within one playthrough. here's what I figured out: 1. Start the game online and play it up to the point where the Cortex achievement unlocks and the game autosaves. 2. Quit yr game there, pull out the internet cable, continue playin' offline till the Sheriff moustache achievement unlocks normally. It won't obviously bcs u r offline, but after idling a minute or two in the game then snapping to the achievements the Sheriff moustache cheevo must be in "done - unlocking" status. 3. Quit the game here again, delete the local save file, get back online and continue the game via retrieving the previous save from the cloud, do the job following the other path which leads towards the Large donkey achievement. 4. Do the steps 1-3 again before getting the Gandhi moustache achievement. What do u think guys, could this be a possible method for getting 100% within one playthrough? Is there a chance for the 2 achievements never unlocking? Pls let me know what u think, I didn't start the game yet but want to jump into it this weekend and I don't have any external HDD/pen drive so this could be the only way for a 1-playthrough-method for me. bLaKgRaVy
Remember though, the PS4 version only has 15 trophies and the XB1 version has 50 achievements. While the walkthrough on PST.org is well written for the PS4 version, it was not written with the XB1 in mind, so there might be some things in it that may have been skipped over that are necessary for the XB1. I'm personally waiting for a walkthrough guide on gameboomers.com. I use them for the Sherlock Holmes games. They reviewed the Steam copy and it also has 50 achievements (the achievements are the same but the descriptions are different) so when they write a walkthrough it should have everything. I've also used guides.gamepressure.com for guides. They have a guide for this game for all 50 achievements. http://guides.gamepressure.com/agathachristietheabcmurders/
SATYATEX
Thanks for the reply, meantime I tested my own theory and it worked well for the mentioned achievements, right after meating the criterias for them and gettin' back online the achievements unlocked while the console retrieved the save file from the cloud. The problem is - as You mentioned - that there are 2 more achievements, Incense burner and Dragon's smoke they definitely need an other partial playthrough because goin' for the Large donkey achievement voids both of them. Everything else will unlock via following the PS guide. Btw the gamepressure guide is absolutely fine as well, when I checked that one last time it was still incomplete somewhere in the middle of the 3rd chapter but as I see now it's complete. So, the method is working but doesn't spare that much time bcs of that 2 further achievements...
themindisacity
I've played the PS4 version (15 trophies) and PC version (50 achievements), and with the save backups I noted on the PS4 version you should still be able to do all this in one playthrough. The only thing I'm not 100% about - because I haven't played the game in a bit - is if you can unlock Dragon's Smoke and Large Donkey in a single playthrough, because I think the dialogue choices are different. But the conversation that unlocks Dragon's Smoke takes place midway through the game, so if you make TWO backup saves, you should be able to do it. That's my opinion, anyway. I don't have a One so can't confirm. Hopefully one of you all can! the walkthrough on PST.org is well written for the PS4 version Thank you. That one requires to make correct choices during the investigations and conversations so the press will like You and praise You - as the achievement description says - in the very last newspaper after gettin' back home from the Sccotland Yard. When u r goin' for the Large donkey achievement doin' a lot of mistakes, the press won't like You ever and the cheevo won't unlock (as it happened to me and needed another quick run up to that point w/o makin' mistakes at all)

bLaKgRaVy
Unfortunately the gameboomers guide didn't have where the achievements unlock. I ended up using gamepressure.com which is linked in the achievement guide. I also used a video walkthrough which is also linked.

Ya, I just finished the game for my first run and noticed that about halfway through. Piss me off. I really don't think I can tolerate 3 playthroughs, so I will try my best to get the remaining ones I need on the 2nd playtrhough and hope I don't miss any because of choices. Will be an annoying game to not have 100% on, since it's so easy
Deific Aberrant
As of today (08/01/2016), I finished one playthrough and started a second on the same profile. Achievements seem to carry over for playthroughs. I missed the first 'tidy up' option in mission 2 the first go around. Second playtrhough, the final 'tidy up' achievement popped. I also popped the Medium Donkey (for four mistakes) on the second mistake during the second playthrough. **Edit** Did some testing for possibly choosing 'mistakes' (for donkey achievements) and quiting / restarting. Did not seem to work. At least stats carry over playthroughs (if you select the same profile on main menu). Jchandler1985
This game is brutal. I had to fight falling asleep at least 5 times while in the middle of playing. I enjoy playing the riddle type games, but when the character has to move around as slow as a turtle and you can't make him go faster, it tends to make me turn the game off or lose interest. I ranked it 2/10 and feel I'm being over generous. I definitely believe you have to play at least 2 playthroughs. Or nearly 2 anyway more or less the last choice you have to make is pretty much right near the end of the game. You have to concentrate on the donkey achievements on one playthrough and the sheriff moustache and other achievements which you will miss if you take the donkey option in the other. The guide on here is very helpful for the donkey achievements. Just keep track on that where you need to make a mistake. Then follow the game pressure walk through that is also included in the guide. It really helps to get the banal components of the game over with quicker!
bLaKgRaVy
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, almost two complete playthroughs are necessary; one for the Donkey achievements and the other for "Gandhi moustache", "Sheriff moustache" and "Incense Burner". The final choice takes place around three-quarters into the second playthough, but the second playthrough is much quicker because 1)you already know what to do, and 2)you don't have to worry about getting any other achievements (observations and such). And the reason for two playthroughs is because the XB1 doesn't have a back-up feature like the 360 had (copy your save onto a USB and load from there). The PS4 version can do this, however. Microsoft claims they took this out because of piracy, but it's a bullshit excuse. Sorry I've been lax about finishing up the roadmap. I'm finding it difficult to explain how the game needs to be played to get the full 1000G in as little time as possible. It will be completed soon. Your guide was very good thanks for going to the effort. I was really annoyed as on my fist playthrough I missed out on eagle eye because I missed the observation of the cat photo next to Mrs Marbury. As a result o had to observe everything again on my second playthrough!
bLaKgRaVy
Yeah, I made sure I combed through everything in an area as to not miss anything. If I was stuck, I referred to the gamepressure guide. That's why it took me so long for my first playthrough, that and writing the guide. Kind of spoiled the story, too, but I didn't really mind. The second playthrough was a piece of cake. Since I unlocked "Large donkey" in my first, I knew I could really do anything up until I got to a certain point. Not doing any observations really sped it up.
