Playthrough 1: Nightmare Difficulty + Easygoing Survivor (80G) + Score: 1,000,000 (70G)
Unfortunately the difficuly achievements do not stack here, so we are in for two full playthroughs of the game. Nightmare difficulty is fairly tough, mostly when you run into bosses, but you're going to be well prepared as we grab every weapon and extra food item for the collectible achievements. Pay special attention to the score achievement for the first half of the game, then once you have that out of the way the rest gets a bit easier as you can grind for levels and items. Make sure you complete all four side-quests for achievements as well as items toward the collectibles list. Once you reach the end of the game, make sure you have a good stock of bullets, as you'll need to have 50 total AFTER killing the final boss. You can choose to get the good or bad ending on this playthrough, just make sure you do the opposite on the next playthrough.

Playthrough 2: Hard Difficulty
All you should have left going into your second playthrough is the achievement for beating the game on Hard, and one of the ending achievements. Make sure at the end of the game you do the opposite from your Nightmare run, but if you forgot by then and end up doing the same one, you can simply hit "Continue" from the menu to be put back before the final boss and try again. Sadly you can not change the difficulty of the game in the menu or through the Memories system, which is why we're stuck with a full second playthrough instead of using some sort of trick after Step 1. Trust me, I tried!

Conclusion:
This has got to be the hardest and most unique Kemco game out there. Not only is there no marketplace DLC to purchase to make it easier, AND no in-game store either, I believe it's also the only one with such a large amount of missables, AND it requires two playthroughs. It's also got the coolest aesthetic with the whole zombie apocalypse thing, you need to ration your healing and ammo supplies. It has an interesting melee mechanic. So much going for it. I do wish the difficulty achievements stacked so you only needed one playthrough, but other than that this was a favorite of mine, as far as Kemco releases go.

There are 36 achievements with a total of 1000 points

  • Attacked an enemy with Katana.

The Katana is one of the last weapons you'll find in the game, in Chapter 16, inside the Military Base. See Food King (40G) for a collectible list for the exact location. Once you obtain it, make sure to equip it and then use it the next time a zombie gets in melee range during a battle.
  • Attacked an enemy with Baseball Bat.

The Baseball Bat can be obtained by completing the Doomsday Dwellers (20G) achievement/sidequest. Once you have it, make sure to equip it and then use it the next time a zombie gets in melee range during a battle.
  • Attacked an enemy with Golf Club.

The Golf Club can be found by looting a white car right at the start of Chapter 5: Philosadelphos. After you obtain it, be sure to equip it and use it the next time a zombie gets in melee range during a battle.
  • Attacked more than 6 enemies at the same time.

You'll need a shotgun weapon for this achievement. The first one you obtain is the Barning Auto 5 in the police station. These hit every enemy on screen, and you'll need a minimum of six enemies to get this (despite the wording of the achievement being "more than 6" it actually only requires six minimum). When enemies on screen have an exclamation point above their heads, they will all be grouped up if you initiate combat with even one of them. In an area with a lot of zombies at once, run around and alert as many as possible and then engage them with the shotgun equipped. Once you attack, you'll hit all six (or more) and unlock the achievement.
  • Watched the ending in the difficulty "Hard" or "Nightmare", with more than 50 bullets remaining.

As mentioned in the achievement description, this can be done on your Nightmare or Hard difficulty playthrough. It would be easier on Hard since enemies will die more quickly and you shouldn't need to use as many bullets, plus if you got the one million score achievement done on your first playthrough on Nightmare, you can now fight as many battles as you want to get extra bullets. This achievement is cumulative between all bullet types - when I got it I did not have more than 50 of one individual type, but had nearly 80 total bullets, so you could have 20 of each, 50 of one and none of the other two, etc. Also be aware that you must have 50+ after you kill the final boss, so don't go into the fight with exactly 50 or even around 70, as you'll be using a few dozen to kill the boss. So long as you have 50+ after beating the Astronaut, the achievement is yours once the credits roll.
  • Watched the ending in the difficulty "Hard".

See Ultimate Survivor (80G) for more info.
  • Watched the ending in the difficulty "Nightmare".

The difficulty achievements in this game DO NOT stack, so you will need at least two full playthroughs to get both achievements unfortunately. As mentioned in the Road Map, you can easily stack all the achievements in your Nightmare run, which will allow you to speedrun the Hard playthrough. You'll still want to loot quite a bit so you can have bullets and healing items, but the game is MUCH easier on Hard compared to Nightmare, so it'll go fairly quick compared to the first playthrough.
  • Gained more than 100,000 score.

See Score: 1,000,000 (70G) for more info.
  • Gained more than 500,000 score.

See Score: 1,000,000 (70G) for more info.
  • Gained more than 1,000,000 score.

The journey to a million points in this game can be difficult and confusing if you don't understand the scoring system. Truthfully, I do not know why the scoring system exists as there is no bonus for doing well, and it functions in a way that only rewards those making the game more challenging for themselves, which is really not the vibe of a Kemco game. With that said, it IS doable to get this on Nightmare difficulty and combine basically all the achievements together in one run.

I'll explain the steps I used to get the achievement below, but the gist of the scoring system is that you will want to avoid as many optional fights as possible since for some reason this REMOVES points from your score, while completing sidequests and picking up every item you can find ADDS to the score. Doing all of the steps below, you should get the achievement around the time you return to the TV station from the police station. I was Level 9 at this point, and some of the boss fights were tough, but I used as much ammo as possible and wasn't stingy with my healing items to get it done.

So, how is this possible? Here's how I managed it:

    • Pick up every item possible. Use the guide in Food King (40G) but also search dead bodies, shelves, boxes, etc. for extra ammo as these all add to your score as well.
    • Avoide optional battles at all cost. Save often, and if you run into an optional enemy, quit the game using the Xbox button and reload. I only fought maybe 4-6 optional battles when I got the achievement.
    • Completing sub stories adds A LOT of points - do the first two and you should be set to get the achievement after leaving the police station as I mentioned above.
    • Completing main story events also adds points, but not quite as many. Obviously this will come naturally.
Once you hit one million points for this achievement, the scoring system ceases to have any purpose in the game, so feel free to get in as many optional battles as you like from then on. If you have enough ranged weapons with unlimited ammo (rocks, darts, knives) you can kill most 1-2 enemy encounters without getting hit. This will net you a bit of experience and usually some ammo or healing items. Fighting as many battles as you'd like from here to the end will set you up nicely to completing Nightmare difficulty, and give you lots of ammo to also get Easygoing Survivor (80G) at the same time.

  • Gained all types of food supplies.

Pretty much every collectible in the game is missable if you aren't careful, so pay special attention to the list found HERE to get all three types of collectibles in one playthrough: weapons, documents, and food. Weapons obviously will help make the game easier as you get more powerful ones, documents are purely for lore, and food adds to your total health so those are nice to have.

  • Watched the ending.

At the end of the game, after defeating the final boss (the Astronaut), you are tasked with inputting a code to stop a nuclear missile launch. You aren't really given much of a hint as to what the code could be, aside from a "special date" which references the very first scene of the game, a birthday party. The balloons in that scene were "1028" which I assume is for October 28th, his daughter's birthday. Why you would get balloons that signify the date and not her age, I have no idea, but here we are. Input that code to get this ending, the "good" ending.
  • Watched the bad ending.

At the end of the game, after defeating the final boss (the Astronaut), you are tasked with inputting a code to stop a nuclear missile launch. Input ANY other code aside from the correct one (1028) and you will get this ending, the "bad" ending.
  • Cleared the sub story "Doomsday Dwellers".

This quest begins automatically as you are heading through the alley after Barbara joins the party. You will see a group of zombies standing next to a wall, and the game mentions you can just walk right by if you want. Obviously, we're going to challenge them for this achievement. The fight isn't too bad, just use your darts and rocks until a zombie gets close, then knock them back or hopefully kill them with your melee attack, as with any other encounter in the game. Don't be stingy on your bullets and serums, as this can be a tough fight if more than one gets in close at the same time.

After the fight, be sure to loot the sparkle on the ground to get the Baseball Bat.
  • Cleared the sub story "Police Chief".

To begin this quest, read the newspaper on the desk in the police chief's office in the police station, shortly after Chapter 8: Deliver the Supplies starts. You'll need to grab a key in this office to continue the story, so it's hard to miss. From there, rather than leaving the police station through the glass doors to continue the story, head back to the second floor to the room where you found Gordon's desk, and a huge blood smear on the floor going toward the right wall. You may have investigated this bookshelf earlier and it said you could hear something behind it, but you couldn't move it. Well, now you can move it and challenge the chief. There is a campfire in the room to replenish your HP, and you'll want to use all your best guns to take him down.
  • Cleared the sub story "Motel Tragedy".

After leaving the mall and stopping at the gas station, you will be driving the car past a motel and get the option to investigate some gunshots. Make sure you choose to stop and check out the motel to begin this quest, otherwise you can miss it. Go to the motel lobby to get a key for Room 104, then inside that room you'll get two more keys and can head upstairs to face the boss.

This fight is extremely tough, especially on Nightmare difficulty. I used the shotgun with a small pushback with Ben, snipers with the girls, and a handgun with small pushback on Harry. This kept the boss from ever getting in melee range. You could maybe switch to a second shotgun with Harry to get more damage on the sister, and I'd probably use the sniper to take her down first if I did it a second time. Also take note that you need to heal constantly, I went through about 30 health items during this fight.

Be sure to get the taxi key from the ground after killing the boss and loot the car outside and all the rooms before leaving the area.
  • Cleared the sub story "Daydream Champ".

This quest begins automatically upon entering the Disco in Chapter 14. To complete this, you need to have a one on one fight with Ben against a Boxer zombie in the middle of the dance floor. This was much easier than I expected, to be honest. Use a handgun that fires three bullets at once, and heal each time you get hit. I think I only used about 8-10 health items in this fight and it was over in five or six rounds. Once the fight is over, grab the key from the balcony above the dance floor and leave the Disco to complete the quest.
