KeokeN has announced that its Kickstarter campaign for Deliver Us Home, the final instalment in the ‘Deliver Us’ trilogy, is on the way. "This means everything to the studio, who want to thank everyone that has helped them to continue their dream,” the developer said.
Deliver Us Home will follow-up Deliver Us the Moon and Deliver Us Mars with another dose of solitary sci-fi adventure, in which your lone astronaut embarks upon a mission to find a new home for humankind.
Set during the 23rd century in the wake of planet Earth becoming a barren wasteland, Deliver Us Home will see you playing as a descendant of the planet's evacuees, having been trained as an interplanetary astronaut sent into the void of space.
Arriving on the surface of a designated planet, you'll need to determine whether it's a suitable home. There's a twist, however, with a mystery to unravel surrounding settlers that got here long before you, but have left the planet a desolated place.
Deliver Us Home's successful Kickstarter comes in the wake of crippling layoffs at developer KeokeN, with the studio attempting to rebuild and finish its Deliver Us trilogy. Deliver Us Home has been confirmed for Steam, but Xbox and PlayStation versions are set to be released as Kickstarter stretch goals.
