Frontier has announced Planet Coaster 2, the sequel to 2016's Planet Coaster, which came to Xbox and PlayStation as a Console Edition in 2020.
The sequel adds water parks to its “ultimate coaster park experience”, expanding the range of attractions, scenery, and management elements you'll have at your disposal, as you strive to give your guests and unforgettable day out.
Planet Coaster 2 features a Career mode with an array of scenarios to tackle, Franchise mode in which you're tasked with building a global network of parks (with leaderboard support), and the build-and-design-anything-you-like Sandbox mode. You can also share and download blueprints across all platforms via the Frontier Workshop.
New details mean you'll need to protect guests from the sun, keep pools clean, ensure rides run safely, and keep your park running smoothly with the aid of heatmaps, new facilities, and more.
Lazy rivers, flumes, wave pools, and water coasters, meanwhile, will offer plenty of ways to make the best water park you can, replete with lifeguards, sunbeds, changing rooms, and more. An enhanced event sequencer tool will also enable you to create “dazzling displays” for your guests using animatronics, smoke, water jets, and sound.
Planet Coaster 2 will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in autumn 2024.
